DSAGSL ~ "MAKE IT & TAKE IT WORKSHOP!" SATURDAY!

Make It & Take It WorkshopSaturday, February 19
9:00am-11:00am
DSAGSL office
The DSAGSL is offering a Make It & Take It workshop for parents wishing to learn more about creating Social Stories and Storyboards to help their child become more independent at home.  Using materials available at the workshop, parents will make three social stories and correlating storyboards demonstrating brushing teeth, making the bed and  a daily routine chosen by individual participants.  Parents will learn how these two tools can help their child better understand daily expectations and the rewards of completing tasks independently.

Participants will need to bring:  3-5 photos (4x6 inch) of your child completing a daily routine from start to finish.  Examples of daily routines include:  steps in clearing off the dinner table, steps to riding in the car safely, steps to your bedtime routine or after school routine.  The remaining materials needed will be supplied by the DSAGSL.

Space is very limited for this FREE workshop.  Call the office at 314-961-2504 to register.
